About Jon Venverloh

Jon Venverloh serves as president of the Venverloh Family Foundation. Jon determines the foundation’s grantmaking strategies, guides the direction of the organization and carries out funding and other operational duties.

Jon and his family have supported a number of philanthropic efforts. One of the most impactful opportunities they have embraced has been sponsoring children across the world through Compassion International. Through their involvement with Compassion, the Venverlohs saw how meaningful their contributions were in the lives of the children and their communities, inspiring them to increase their support to have a broader impact.

While building the foundation, Jon worked at Google for over eighteen years, running business and engineering teams and launching products including Google’s first enterprise solution (the Google Search Appliance), the Chrome browser, and Google Shopping. Jon was within the first 200 employees at Google and worked for the company as they went public.

Before joining Google, Jon helped create Weather.com and led West Coast sales. He graduated from Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, with a B.A. in Advertising and before earning his Masters degree in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jon has been deeply involved in each of the communities where he and his family have been located. Most recently in the heart of Silicon Valley Jon served on the school board of the local public school district, successfully and safely bringing students back into physical classrooms in October 2020, amidst the pandemic while most other California school districts could not manage to do so. Jon has served in various volunteer roles at the churches where he and his family have worshipped, including a historic church in Menlo Park, a church in Zürich, Switzerland, where Jon and his family lived for a time, and a church in San Francisco, where Jon led a ministry to the homeless in the Tenderloin district. Jon also serves as an advisor to tech startups and leads Venus Development Co., a residential real estate development team with projects in the Bay Area and in Dallas.

Grateful for their family’s blessings, the Venverlohs are committed to being good stewards of what the Lord has given them. The Venverloh Family Foundation is dedicated to serving and blessing the nations by enriching and empowering the lives of others.
